The weekend
Dec. 5th, 2005 03:31 pmI had a pretty rough weekend this week. A great start, but a bit too much excitement for my taste. What kept it from being ruined by events (I hit a deer, and my car has 8-9 thousand dollars of damage) was the help of friends. ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif){kind=small}
ilexopaca and Ranger Dan came out while we had to wait for AAA to tow my car away, and saved us from the bitter cold. Also, maxrat827 and a_typical_irony came by to visit me on Sunday while I was bored and stranded (they were also there in the car with me when I hit the deer). And today my girlfriend silvertabby took me to Enterprise to pick up my rental in addition to making me lunch.
In summary: Rough weekend, that helped me to appreciate how good I've really got it. Thanks, guys.

Sep. 26th, 2005 10:53 amToday, I put in my notice at work. My last day will be the 13th of October. I will be starting my new job at ING Direct October 31st, and this gap gives me the chance to go to Alabama and visit with my family. I'm also considering stopping in Tennessee and seeing some friends if they will be around close to then... (frenchpress I'm looking at you).
By the way, the interviews went well (obviously). My thanks to everyone for the support and well-wishes.

- Thanks to billbergo for hosting the B-day bash. It was teh awesome, and thanks to everyone who made it out. You know who you are, and good luck with the rehab.
- My family flew up from the Deep South to surprise me with the aid of my awesome GF silvertabby , so I'm sorry if I've been unaccessable lately. That's why.
- Monday night gaming is apparently through due to scheduling difficulties. I am pretty disappointed about it. We'll miss you Kaylie.
- Friday night gaming was awesome. It left me with a burning need to post about it at 6:30 AM when I got home, while simultaneously being too tired to do anything but crash. I'm thoroughly enjoying all the varied and new role-playing opportunities presented by Fridays. Ah reckon it's gonna be a good un.
- Pictures are forthcoming from the party, and my family's visit... But the sheer bulk of them is taking me some time to get through. I also have pictures from the reunion (welcome tambre !) eventually.
- Massive book group this week for some reason, had a great time and look forward to seeing skyethebard and ludichrissy sometime this week as well.
- New job? Interview tomorrow. If you're inclined to pray, or cross your fingers... I need all the help I can get :)
I'm sorry if I missed anything, but it really has been a hectic few weeks. Thanks for understanding.

Aug. 15th, 2005 10:03 amNot a terrible weekend for me. Sunday silvertabby and I went jogging, beginning my quest to get back into shape. Also at the Raw Deal Tournament I went undefeated (5-0) and took home one each of these:
It is actually the first tournament including the Team from Allentown that I've completely won, as they're really good and they play a lot more than I do. I should take completely unplayed and untested decks to these things more often I guess. Now I just have to survive through Monday....

Jul. 1st, 2005 05:28 pmMy boss (Tom Hadley) has given his two weeks notice, but that hasn't stopped my co-workers from producing and recording a rap about him. It's pretty descriptive. Not sure how funny it will be for the rest of you who don't know him, but it's probably worth downloading either way. Definitely worth it if you thought the last thing my co-workers sent out was funny. His solo rocks.
